Burundian brewed tea
Burundian brewed tea — A clearly measured home version for the Burundi collection. Follow the listed ingredients and method; this recipe does not claim an exclusive origin.
Ingredients
- 8 g — Burundian black tea
- 1000 ml — drinking water
Preparation
Heat drinking water to about 95°C.
Warm the teapot with extra hot water and empty it.
Add 8 g black tea, pour the listed litre of water and steep 3–4 minutes.
Taste and strain without pressing the leaves hard.
Divide into four cups; optional sugar and milk remain separate and excluded from nutrition.
Longer steeping increases bitterness and does not measure caffeine.
