- 700 g fresh spinach, sorted
- 130 g pure unsweetened peanut paste
- 400 g tomatoes
- 150 g onion
- 10 g garlic
- 25 g olive oil
- 300 ml water
- 4 g salt
- 1 g fresh chili pepper

Sauté the onion in oil for 5 minutes over moderate heat. Add the garlic, tomatoes, and chili pepper, then cook for another 5 minutes.
Wash and drain the spinach. This version uses spinach, not cassava leaves.
Pour in the water, then add the spinach. Cook for 10 minutes.
Dilute the peanut paste in a little hot liquid, incorporate it, and let it simmer for another 10 minutes, stirring.
Add the salt and reduce uncovered if necessary. Serve hot; accompaniments are counted separately.
