Shrimp Gboma
Shrimp Gboma: a homemade version with weighed ingredients and detailed preparation.
Ingredients
- 600 g fresh spinach, sorted
- 500 g raw peeled shrimp
- 400 g tomatoes
- 150 g onion
- 10 g garlic
- 25 g olive oil
- 300 ml water
- 4 g salt
- 1 g fresh chili
Preparation
Prepare the ingredients indicated by edible weight. Mince the onion, chop the garlic, and cut the tomatoes.
Sauté the onion in the oil for 5 minutes over moderate heat. Add the garlic, tomatoes, and chili, then cook for another 5 minutes.
This version uses spinach as a domestic substitute for leafy greens called gboma. Wash and drain them; do not confuse them with cassava leaves.
Pour in the water and add the spinach. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Add the peeled shrimp and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, until opaque and fully cooked to 63 °C.
Add the salt and reduce uncovered if necessary. Serve hot; accompaniments are counted separately.
