Baobab Ice Pop

Gelado de múcua is presented here as a baobab ice pop. The pulp, water, and sugar form a preparation different from a creamy mousse.

Baobab Ice Pop

Ingredients

  • 80 g unsweetened baobab pulp food powder
  • 800 ml water
  • 120 g sugar

Preparation

Dissolve the baobab powder in part of the water, then add the rest and the sugar. Stir until dissolved.

Distribute into 6 freezer-safe food molds, without filling to the brim.

Freeze for at least 6 hours, until completely set. The time depends on the freezer and the shape of the molds.

Unmold just before serving. This water-based version is similar to a fruity, dairy-free ice pop; it is not an ice cream.
