Mint tea
๐ Black tea with fresh mint and measured sugar, no milk or cinnamon.
Ingredients
- 6 g loose black tea
- 10 g washed fresh food-grade mint leaves without large stems
- 600 ml drinking water
- 20 g sugar
Preparation
Prepare heat-safe infusion vessel, fine food strainer and 4 small heat-safe glasses. Wash mint and weigh 10 g usable leaves.
Heat 600 ml water and 20 g sugar to boil about 5 minutes by equipment, stirring to dissolve.
Off heat pour sweetened water over measured tea and mint in heat-safe vessel.
Infuse about 3 minutes without strong boiling. Adjust a future batch to chosen tea rather than steeping until bitter.
Carefully strain into clean heat-safe serving vessel, removing leaves without hard pressing. Liquid remains very hot.
Divide 4 small glasses about 140โ150 ml by losses, serve hot without milk or extra sugar. Cinnamon is omitted in this mint-only adaptation.
