Lemonade

๐Ÿ‹ Fresh yellow-lemon lemonade with measured sugar and drinking water, four glasses.

Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 160 ml freshly squeezed strained yellow lemon juice
  • 80 g sugar
  • 1 litre drinking water: 200 ml syrup and 800 ml cold for mixing

Preparation

Take 200 ml from litre water and heat with 80 g sugar about 5 minutes, stirring until dissolved without caramelising.

Off heat, cool about 10 minutes in clean protected heat-safe vessel. This is part of stated hour of rest.

Meanwhile wash lemons, cut with clean knife, squeeze, strain seeds and measure 160 ml juice; number of fruits varies.

Mix cooled syrup, juice and remaining 800 ml cold water in clean pitcher until even.

Cover and refrigerate at least 50 more minutes until cold, extending if needed. Rest includes initial cooling.

Stir and divide 4 glasses about 300 ml depending on final volume. No ice, mint, milk or extra sugar included; no medical claims.
